Our long-standing collaboration with the University of Limerick has seen us design and art direct a series of Annual Reports and strategic documents that reflect the university’s ambition, achievements and vision for the future. Each year, the projects evolve to meet new priorities – with recent editions placing a stronger emphasis on digital-first communication. Working closely with UL departments, we shape each report to balance clarity, accessibility and design excellence.

The First Seven Weeks (F7W) programme at the University of Limerick plays a vital role in supporting first-year students as they settle into university life. From academic guidance to wellbeing initiatives, F7W ensures students feel welcomed, connected and equipped to thrive in their first semester. Working within the University of Limerick brand guidelines, Copper Reed refreshed the F7W identity to make it more engaging, student-focused and future-ready. The new design strengthens visibility across campus and digital platforms, helping the programme communicate clearly, build recognition and continue its mission of supporting UL students during this important transition.

Our strategic design partnership with the University of Limerick includes the full brand development and design direction for UL Research Week, one of the university’s flagship events celebrating research excellence. Each year, we evolve the visual identity to reflect UL’s ambition, energy and growing research impact, ensuring the brand remains fresh, cohesive and aligned with the university’s strategic priorities.

UL Sport launched the ‘New Season All To Play For’ campaign to encourage first-year students to get involved in the wide variety of sports available on campus and to increase club memberships. As an approved design studio for UL, Copper Reed created a bold, energetic and creative visual identity for the campaign using strong, impactful typography and dynamic photography. The result was a vibrant, eye-catching campaign that stood out across campus and digital channels, inspiring students to join in, get active and make sport a central part of their university experience.
